TEAM WALDORF FREEDOM GUIDELINES
GIRLS U12 2010 – 2011
Freedom Players will have an account created for them.  Funds in individual player accounts are to be used for authorized soccer team related expenses only, as determined by the head coach. Examples include team uniforms, equipment and supplies, participation in tournaments, registration fees, end of season party expenses, etc. A prorated portion of the team’s expense will be deducted from the player’s account with notice given to the parent by the Team Treasurer. Since attendance is expected at all team events, charges are divided equally between all players and will be deducted from the players account regardless of participation. Notices of account balances will be provided during each season by the Team Treasurer (or on an as needed basis).

To ensure solvency of the (overall) Waldorf Freedom Team account, a minimum positive balance of $100 in each player’s account is requested to be maintained over time to care for on-going Team expenses. Team benefits, i.e. participation, may be withheld if minimum balances are not maintained in an individual player’s account.   Deposits can be made as needed/desired to cover upcoming expenses. Checks should be made payable to ‘Waldorf Freedom’ referencing the player’s name on the check.

If, for whatever reason, a player does not continue with the team, any monies deposited by the parents and not used will be refunded to the parent.  Any monies raised and deposited as a result of fundraising will stay with the team in a general account.

Fundraising opportunities are typically offered two or three times a year. Profits are earned based on a player’s participation. For example, any profits received from an individual player’s sales of Joe Corbi’s are deposited directly into her account. If any player is unable to participate or chooses not to participate in a fundraiser (for whatever reason), the funds raised for that event will not be distributed into the player’s account.

All Freedom players are committed both financially and personally to the team. Freedom players are expected to attend all practices, games and tournaments.

Freedom parents and players are expected to conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike way at all team events.

Team group emails are to be only used by Team Manager or those individuals designated by the Head Coach or Team Manager. Team group emails will not be used for soliciting purposes of any kind.
